Mouser Signs Distribution Agreement With Maxwell For Ultracapacitors

Mouser Electronics, Inc. (Mouser), a Singapore-based electronic component distributor, has signed a global catalog distribution agreement with Maxwell Technologies, Inc. (Maxwell) for ultracapacitors. Mouser's Maxwell stock includes ultracapacitors ranging from 2.5V to 125V. Because they are efficient, Maxwell's ultracapacitors are ideal for renewable energy applications.

Renewable energy sources such as wind, solar, and water require energy storage devices. The Maxwell BOOSTCAP (BCAP) ultracapacitors provide a wide range of choices for energy storage and power delivery; some with high energy for longer discharge applications and others with high power for fast discharge applications.

Barry McConnell, Mouser senior vice president of products, states, "Maxwell's ultracapacitors can benefit many applications - from those requiring short power pulses to those that requiring low-power support of critical memory systems.
